The Nihon Ken Invitational (a UKC heritage dog show hosted by the Japanese Akita Club of America) is on Saturday, February 8th in Gardena, CA. Day of show entries are accepted. The show will take place at its annual location of Arthur Lee Johnson Memorial Park.

There is a complimentary puppy fun match in addition to the sanctioned show.

Currently 3 adult Kishu Ken are entered in the UKC show, and 6 Kishu puppies are anticipated to be at the fun match.

Please be aware that while this show is open to spectators, dogs not entered in the show are not permitted.

RIDGEFIELD, WASHINGTON

The NAKC has a Meet the Breeds booth in Ridgefield, Washington, for the Greater Clark County Kennel Club Performance Weekend. This booth is in the main hall when entering the big building. It will be present for both Saturday and Sunday.

This show also hosts an FSS Open Show and a number of canine sports Kishu Ken are eligible for.
